Juan Quirós is a businessman and shareholder of Grupo Advento, a holding specialized in the sectors of Engineering, Infrastructure and Construction; he also holds the position of vice president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).

In 2013, he was appointed president of Lide Campinas – a Group of Business Leaders that covers the entire Metropolitan Region of Campinas, which currently consists of 20 municipalities. He is also member of the Management Board of Lide Brazil.

Quirós has extensive experience in the export and investment promotion areas.   Between 2003 and 2007, he was president of Apex-Brazil, Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, during the administration of Luiz Fernando Furlan ahead of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.

He was member of the Board of Directors of BNDESPar, a manager of holdings in companies of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), and a member of the Deliberative Board of Sebrae Nacional and is currently a Board member of Sebrae São Paulo.

In 2009, he joined the Global Agenda Council for the Future of Sustainable Construction, organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF), international non-governmental organization based in Switzerland, being the only Brazilian representative in this board.

Juan Quirós has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in the United States and post-graduate degree in Business Administration from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas). He also has a major in Strategic Management and Planning and Latin America Economy, both in the United States.
